Rebecca Creel is an associate family law attorney with Lester and Hendrix, LLC, with offices in Columbia, Myrtle Beach, and Beaufort/Hilton Head, South Carolina. Rebecca graduated from Converse College in 2004 with a double B.A. degree in Business Finance and Psychology. She received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2007 where she was a Johnson Legal Scholar. While in law school, she was an active member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and the Public Interest Law Society.
After law school, she worked as an associate for Luce, Moore, and Franklin of Irmo, in the area of residential real estate and foreclosure law. She joined Pincus Family Law in 2009, where she practiced with the Honorable Monet Pincus until Judge Pincus’ election. She then moved her practice to Lester & Hendrix, LLC, in April 2013. She practices exclusively in the Family Courts of South Carolina. She is a graduate of the National Family Law Trial Institute in Houston, Texas, and is a member of the 2012 South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy. She has been twice named to Columbia Business Monthly’s Legal Elite of the Midlands in the area of Family Law. She was honored by the South Carolina Supreme Court’s Commission on the Profession with the 2015 G. Dewey Oxner, Jr., Mentor of the Year award for her work with new members of the Bar. She is active in the promotion of the profession and regularly teaches continuing legal courses and speaks at community events on family law topics. She serves as an advocate for litigants and is a certified Guardian ad Litem.
Rebecca is a very active volunteer in the Columbia area. She sat on the Fundraising Committee and Advisory Council for the Epilepsy Foundation of South Carolina. With the EFSC she also was certified as a H.O.P.E Mentor. She sits on the board of Operation Homefront – Wounded Warrior, South Carolina Victim’s Assistance Network, and on the executive committee of V-Day Columbia. She also volunteers with SCCADVSA, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Project Pet. She is a native of Hemingway, South Carolina.
